I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in 2002, with two MA diplomas; one in Art Education and the other in Painting – for which I received diploma with distinction. After leaving the Academy I continued my career as an artist and had many solo and group exhibitions of my work in Poland and Europe.
After my second child was born I has less time to concentrate on painting, and this is when I started to give art lessons. I had private art students in Poland, as well as conducting group art workshops. At this time my husband and I were also running a small art centre, where we would host regular art festivals.
In 2008 we moved to South Africa to work at Camphill Village West Coast, a non profit organization which provides homes, work and therapy for adults with developmental disabilities. I conducted art classes for the residents and lessons included drawing, painting and plain air art sessions. I was also responsible for running the Camphill Village craft workshop, where residents took part in many activities including painting, drawing, fabric painting, sewing and knitting.
After five years at Camphill Village we decided to move to Canada, and in August 2013 we came to Calgary. In Calgary I began to give private art lessons once more . I also started to paint again and in May 2014 took part in a group art exhibition, displaying many of my paintings.
My art classes are structured accordingly to students level and interests and include working with many various materials: acrylic paints, watercolor, canvas, canvas boards, soft pastels, oil pastels, modeling clay and many others. I am also offering consultations how to set up a professional art portfolio.
I start with an interview which is free of charge, which helps to discuss the details.
